We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hepatology team at University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN!  This is an excellent opportunity to work in a teaching environment for a large and exciting division, with great leadership, and a long-standing history of success! 

Position Details:

• Full-time, Day Shift 
  • Open to 4 10-hour (7:00a-5:00p or 8:00a-6:00p) or 5 8-hour (8:00a-4:30p) weekday shift options 
  • No weekends, nights, holidays, or call
• 40% outpatient, 60% inpatient
• No procedures
• Join a collaborative team and work directly with a rotation of 10 physicians and 2 advanced providers (6 total APPs in the group). 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a team with a current inpatient liver consult PAs who cover Methodist Hospital in-person in addition to virtual "e-consults" to other IU Health hospital locations such as IUH West, Bloomington, Arnett, and Ball Memorial.
• See the same patients you cared for during their inpatient admission for follow up after they are discharged in the outpatient clinic, as well as become a hepatology expert that sees Urgent New outpatient liver consults in outpatient clinic.
• Work collaboratively when needed while being an autonomous provider supported to practice to the fullest of your potential.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree required
• PA, FNP, or ACNP certification required
• Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Indiana 
• Open to highly motivated new graduates with a passion for Gastroenterology/Hepatology
• Prior GI, Hospitalist or inpatient specialist experience helpful but not required
