Phoenix Children’s, the largest pediatric health care system in the Southwest, is seeking a dedicated Hematopathologist to join our growing Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Your role:
-Take on a diverse caseload that includes 750+ peripheral blood smears, 550 bone marrow studies, 1,450 cytology specimens, 100 lymph node/surgical cases, and 240 flow cytometry cases annually.
-Join two board-certified hematopathologists and work alongside expert pediatric pathology subspecialists.
Your resources:
- In-house diagnostic flow cytometry (7 days/week).
- Same-day immunohistochemical and special stains.
- Remote imaging for smear reviews and on-call consultations.
- Specialized hematology staff with bone marrow morphology expertise.

Requirements:
- Board certification/eligibility in AP/CP and hematopathology
- Arizona medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Education

• MD or DO degree. (Required)

Certifications

• Current Arizona License to Practice Medicine or the ability to obtain prior to start date. (Required)
• Board certified/Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty. (Required)

Special Skills

• The ability to move freely from facility to facility, as well as, the ability to move freely throughout facilities and examine patients. (Required)
• The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices. (Required)
• The ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed. (Required)
• The ability to work regularly scheduled work hours. (Required)
