Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute – Cardiac Electrophysiology Opportunity

Prisma Health is seeking a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our team in Columbia, SC.

Position Details:

Practice Overview in Columbia, SC

• Largest Cardiology group in SC with comprehensive service delivered in the only dedicated stand-alone Heart Hospital in South Carolina
• Supported by an EP dedicated team that includes 5 MDs, 5 Nurse Practitioners and a large EP device clinic.
• Comprehensive EP scope with emphasis on all aspects of care delivery
• Structured academic time for teaching (if desired) , research, and program development (with faculty rank with University of South Carolina School of Medicine
• Opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the electrophysiology service line
• 100% dedicated EP practice with EP practice call only

Procedures:

• Permanent Pacemaker implants (and leadless)
• Pacemaker Lead extractions (desirable, but not necessary)
• ICD & CRT-D implants
• Comprehensive Ablation Program: Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT (endo and epi)
• Convergent procedures in collaboration with cardiovascular surgeons.
• LAAC closure

The Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is a collaborative team dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and education. Prisma HVI is the largest Cardiovascular program in South Carolina, featuring over 230 providers. Our 2 flagship hospitals, Greenville Memorial Hospital & Richland Heart Hospital, are home to comprehensive and cutting-edge services for cardiothoracic, vascular and cardiac care. As an integrated health network, we have the tools and the abilities to provide seamless care throughout the patient’s journey. As the clinical faculty for The University of South Carolina School of Medicine, our active GME program supports both Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Fellowships. Our HVI clinical research team currently supports more than 50 active clinical trials.  

At Prisma Health you will collaborate with a dynamic team of APPs and nurses to care for cardiovascular patients, both in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. Our Richland Heart Hospital is a 130-bed fully dedicated cardiac hospital with cardiac ICU, Cath/EP labs and ORs housed in it. We also have an active outpatient cath lab attached to the hospital along with our cardiology clinics. Imaging modalities include Echocardiography, TEE, Nuclear, CT, Cardiac MRI, and Cardiac PET.
