Summa Health Traumatic Stress Center – Akron, Ohio
Summa Health is seeking Licensed Clinical Psychologists (PhD or PsyD) with expertise in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related disorders to join the Traumatic Stress Center (TSC), a specialty outpatient clinic within Summa Health’s Behavioral Health Institute.
The TSC provides evidence-based psychological care to individuals with complex trauma histories, including PTSD and interpersonal violence. Psychologists practice within a doctoral-level clinical model emphasizing empirically supported interventions such as Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, delivered through individual and group psychotherapy.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based trauma treatments
Deliver clinical supervision to doctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees
Participate in interdisciplinary consultation and program development
Practice Environment
The TSC is housed in Summa Health’sstate-of-the-art behavioral health facility on the Akron campus, supporting close collaboration with Inpatient Psychiatry, Primary Care, Women’s Health, and community partners. Psychologists join a well-established Behavioral Health Institute of 40+ clinicians within Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group of nearly 700 providers.

Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
Ohio psychology license or eligibility to obtain
