A full-time Faculty position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine; Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, specializing in pulmonary critical care or critical care medicine for our growing critical care programs at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and/or West Chester Hospital. The department has a commitment to outstanding patient care delivery and is open to supporting additional complimentary career interests that further support and develop our program including: quality improvement, health outcomes, research (clinical or basic) and/or education.
Essential Functions
Conduct inpatient rounding on consult services for pulmonary patients (teaching and non-teaching), attending on clinical critical care admitting services (teaching only), and holding ongoing longitudinal continuity clinics for cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis patients.
Participate in and independently lead research in cystic fibrosis, including participating as a co-investigator on the awarded Center Grant from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation award, participating in the management of clinical trials, and ongoing quality-improvement work for the ambulatory clinic for cystic fibrosis patients
Rotate with other faculty on teaching services with a range of learners, including medical students, residents, and pulmonary and critical care fellows.
Teach UC medical students, UC Medical Center residents and fellows, and partner with education initiatives for learners enrolled in programs at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to enhance cystic fibrosis and non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis clinics.
Minimum Requirements
Medical Degree (MD or DO)
State of Ohio medical license
Completion of a 3-year residency in Internal Medicine
Completion of a 3-year fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
