A diagnostic neuroradiologist with expertise in endovascular thrombectomy is required to join a group of 54 radiologists, 7 of whom specialize in neuroradiology in an academic hospital. The candidate will be an FRCPC, or equivalent, in Diagnostic Radiology and have a minimum two-year fellowship in diagnostic and/or interventional neuroradiology. The candidate will be proficient in diagnostic neuroimaging, image guided spine procedures and endovascular stroke treatment. A proven academic record is required.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the largest tertiary care group of teaching hospitals in Atlantic Canada and part of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. It is the only center providing endovascular stroke treatment in Nova Scotia and PEI and the core adult clinical teaching facility for Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine. There are active residency programs in Diagnostic Radiology, Neuroradiology and Nuclear Medicine. There is a well-developed research infrastructure with opportunities to promote academic achievement.
