Under the supervision of the Infusion Operations Manager, Pharmaceutical Services or their designee, you will play a key leadership role supporting infusion pharmacy operations. In this role, you will oversee pharmacy technician staff, providing day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and training. You will help schedule staff, support new employee onboarding, participate in performance evaluations, play an integral part in the hiring process, collaborate in maintaining inventory, formulary stocking to standard, and support the team as needed with staffing needs. You will serve as a lead liaison between pharmacy, nursing, and administrative partners in developing pharmacy technician programs and expanding service delivery.
Your responsibilities also include ensuring quality assurance, auditing work against metrics, supporting regulatory compliance, and administering staff assessments. You will float and rotate across infusion sites, providing coverage when needed, including sterile compounding of IV medications, chemotherapy, and biologics. Additionally, you will support ordering, receiving, inventory, and medication reconciliation in systems like LYNX and BEACON. The UCLA Infusion Clinics are spread across a large geographic areas. The focus area for this position is Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. As needed, this position will provide support with supervision of additional sites.

Hourly Salary Range: $32.95 - $67.53
Qualifications
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, experienced professional with:
Current California Pharmacy Technician License
At least 5 years of pharmacy technician experience OR 2 years of lead technician experience
Experience with IV compounding and aseptic technique, including hazardous drug handling
Competency in Care Connect/BEACON, Microsoft Office, LYNX, HBS, and McKesson are preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, dosage forms, pharmaceutical abbreviations, and generic/trade names
Ability to perform calculations, interpret prescriptions, and convert units accurately
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities
Ability to evaluate and improve operational procedures and staff performance
Ability to travel between infusion locations for supervision and quality assurance
