Piedmont Hearing and Balance Center is in search of a motivated 4th year Audiology Extern who is eager to become a well rounded Audiologist. This extern must be driven, organized, articulate, and possess the strongest of communication skills. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and grow with a team-oriented, established practice. You will have the opportunity to provide a broad range of audiological services from pediatrics to geriatrics in a fast paced environment with 2 ENT physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Audiologists, an Audiology Assistant and a full clinical staff. You will gain from training in vestibular examinations (VNG's), canalith repositioning treatments, tinnitus examinations and rehabilitation, pediatric hearing examinations, cerumen management, audiology business development and hearing aid programming, fittings and repairs.
We are a well-established and well networked independent Audiology practice providing Diagnostic Audiology Services for Iredell County and the surrounding communities for over 20 years.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform adult and pediatric diagnostic assessments while providing coverage for ENT physicians clinic
Examine vestibular disorders and provide appropriate treatment and/or recommendations (including VNG and evaluation/ treatment of BPPV)
Determine appropriate treatment plan including the fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments and assistive listening devices
Evaluate hearing devices, perform repairs and maintenance on devices
Counsel patients and their families on hearing loss and treatment plans
Document patient encounters in appropriate EMR system
Qualifications:
Applicates should submit an unofficial transcript from accredited University.
Applicants should submit a letter of intent and 2 recommendations letters
Temporary Audiology license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (Preferred)
