Rutgers Cancer Institute is seeking a clinical researcher specializing in pediatric bone marrow transplant, with strong clinical and educational skills. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in pediatric bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. Responsibilities would center on providing care to children, adolescents and young adults receiving stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies, or gene therapy. Unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, novel cell therapy constructs, and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows.
The academic appointment will be in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with a resident faculty appointment at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. Faculty at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School will have the opportunity to engage in exciting teaching and mentorship activities for fellows and graduate students. The position will be 0.7-0.8 cFTE based on their experience in clinical research, with clinical responsibilities in BMT clinic at Rutger Cancer Institute -New Brunswick.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Must have training in bone marrow and stem cell transplant and/or 2+ years of experience working in stem cell transplant or cellular therapy. Faculty rank and salary is commensurate with experience.
