Job Overview
Colaborate is seeking a driven, versatile Operations & Strategy Associate to serve as a Swiss Army knife across the firm during a period of meaningful growth. This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for someone who thrives in a small-team environment and is ready to own outcomes from Day 1.
The primary focus of this role is operational and analytical support across the business - building financial models and pro formas, supporting client engagements, and driving multiple projects forward in parallel. Like every member of the Colaborate team, this person will also pitch in on growth activities alongside senior leadership when needed, including pipeline tracking, account research, and channel partner support.
This role reports directly to the Director and works alongside senior leadership daily. The ideal candidate brings genuine intellectual curiosity about the laboratory space, an ownership mentality, and is excited by the opportunity to build something - not just execute within an existing playbook.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis, Modeling & Operations
Build, modify, and maintain client-facing financial models, pro formas, and pricing analyses using existing templates and frameworks.
Support transaction work, diligence analyses, and ad hoc strategic projects alongside senior leadership.
Drive project management across multiple concurrent workstreams, including client engagements, internal initiatives, and firm-building projects running in parallel.
Own data processing, verification, and quality control supporting client deliverables and strategic analyses.
Keep proposals, contracts, models, and client materials organized, version-controlled, and archived.
Prepare internal reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership.
Proposal & Client Deliverable Production
Assist with proposal development, deal structuring, and coordination for consulting engagements.
Build and maintain client-facing decks, one-pagers, and supporting analytical materials.
Support on-site client engagements, laboratory assessments, and operational projects as needed.
Contribute to production team efforts during peak periods or active engagements.
Growth Support
Participate and maintain channel partnerships alongside senior leadership - tracking activity, preparing reporting, and supporting day-to-day coordination.
Help set up and maintain HubSpot CRM - pipeline stages, deal tracking, and reporting dashboards
Research target accounts and build account dossiers to support leadership-led outreach.
Maintain sales collateral - email templates, one-pagers, case studies, and pitch frameworks.
Location
This is an in-person role based in Tampa, Florida, with occasional travel for client engagements and on-site work.
Why This Role
Ownership from Day 1. You’re not filling a seat - you’re building the operational backbone the firm will rely on as it grows. Your fingerprints will be on everything.
Direct access to leadership. You’ll work alongside the CEO and senior leadership every day. The learning curve is vertical.
Breadth of exposure. Within your first 12 months you’ll touch client financial modeling, consulting engagements, deal-adjacent work, and the firm’s growth strategy - the kind of range that is almost impossible to get in a larger organization.
A real growth path. As Colaborate grows, so does your role. This is a career-defining opportunity, not a lateral move.
Mission that matters. Behind every lab sample is a patient. Colaborate’s work directly improves patient care.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to firm growth and project outcomes. High performers will have meaningful upside through incentive compensation and future opportunities within the firm.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and expected contribution, and candidates are encouraged to share their compensation expectations during the interview process.
